Attention museums! If your museum or gallery is working to make families feel more welcome then why not sign up as a supporter of the Kids in Museums Manifesto? The Manifesto has been written by family visitors to museums, and is intended as an aspirational and inspirational document. We know that not every museum can do everything on the list but we welcome all museums, galleries and other organisations which are committed to becoming as family friendly as possible.
Hundreds of museums and galleries all over the UK have already signed up to support the Kids in Museums Manifesto and pledge to do what they can to welcome families. If you would like your museum to be added to the list as a supporter simply email signup@kidsinmuseums.org.uk with your details. If you have photographs of your work with families you may also feature in our Supporters’ Gallery
Are you a keen museum visitor? Has your favourite family friendly museum signed up to the Manifesto? If not, why not encourage them to join the growing list of Kids in Museums supporters.
Supporting museums are also able to use the exclusive ‘We Love Kids in Museums’ logo on their materials and websites, helping to communicate to families that they’re working hard to be as family friendly as possible.
